TimbrGate
Advertising on TimbrGate
Updated
TimbrGate is a free-to-start download gate and smart link platform for independent musicians. Some of the writing on the site carries display advertising. This page says where those ads run, where they do not, and how an advertiser reaches the pages that have them.
Where ads appear
Display ads run on selected guides, blog posts, and comparisons of music tools. A page is included when the writing is long enough for a placement to sit between sections. A short page, and any page that is only a list of links, does not carry one.
A unit sits in the article, between sections of the writing. When a creative is served it is labeled "Advertisements". It is not drawn as a track, a recommendation, a button, or part of the navigation. The advertising script is inserted only on those articles.
Pages that stay ad-free
These parts of TimbrGate are built without advertising:
- The homepage.
- Login, signup, and the other account screens.
- The artist dashboard and the admin tools.
- Download gates, smart links, and playlist pages. Those are an artist's page for a fan. They do not carry TimbrGate advertising.
- Index pages that are only a list of links.
- This page. It explains the ads. It does not show one.
For advertisers
The inventory on those articles is filled by Google AdSense. To advertise on them, use Google Ads. TimbrGate does not sell individual placements from this page, and it does not run its own ad server.
For a question about the site, a partnership, or anything that is not a Google Ads buy, use the contact page or write to info@timbr.music.
Automated checks for the advertising account read ads.txt. That file is the publisher line. It is not repeated here, so the two cannot drift apart.
For readers
You can manage the ads Google shows you in Google's Ad Settings. How TimbrGate uses advertising cookies is in the privacy policy. Cookie choices for this site can be changed from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
